your paper is pretty well written. i like the fact that you use a lot of detail great description as to the methods sherlock Holmes uses. one thing that would make the paper better is organization, and fixing some grammar mistakes which everyone has.

I really liked your introduction. It was pretty funny that you made reference to Scooby-Doo. There were a few errors in syntax, but I'll just assume that you wrote it the night before it was due.

Your paper has set up strong information to clarify the points you are making that Holmes' methods include his objectivity to not allow things to get in the way of his work, the treatment of work as an exact science, and the ability to study the minutiae and create logical theories. You used a good amount of quotes to support your data. I would try to pull even more ideas of Holmes' method to really top off the paper. You could look into his ability to encompass everything in his cases like going undercover, scaling a roof, enlisting the Bakers street irregulars or Toby, or even his knowledge of London.

Your introduction is very well written. You bring up many good points that could be used in the actual essay. The only comment that I could suggest for improvement is the use of punctuation. I would suggest the Diana Hacker book for reference. Also, in between the first and the second paragraph, I suggest that you use a better transitional statement. However, there is nothing wrong with the one that you have. It's just a suggestion.

Overall, your draft was well written. Like you did for your second example regarding th epocket watch, I would also add a quote from the text for your first example, when Holmes came up with the conclusion that Watson was sending a telegram not mailing a letter.

This is a good start. I would put the first paragraph with the third para graph because you talk about deduction in both. Your introduction should introduce Sherlock a little more, so we can get a view at what it is he does. No comma after Doyle in the citation. The quotes you have are strong and get your point across.
